Overview

Summary 

The Data Analytics Tech Lead is responsible for providing advanced-level expertise and guidance to our team of engineers, developers, and analysts. This role will translate complex business needs into innovative BI solutions, help guide Senior Engineers, Report Developers, and Data Analysts using industry best practices and evidence-based recommendations. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Engineering, or any other technology related field or 8 - 10 years of experience  
  • Proven track record of working in large enterprises, showcasing your ability to thrive in complex organizational structures and deliver results at scale. 
  • Demonstrates experience in building and maintaining reliable and scalable ETL on big data platforms as well as experience working with varied forms of data infrastructure  
  • Experience in data warehousing inclusive of dimensional modeling concepts and demonstrate proficiency in scripting languages 
  • Advanced knowledge of data warehousing, data gateway, data preparation projects, and executing DAX queries  
  • Advanced level skills with SSRS, SSIS, SQL, Power Query, MDX, Power BI, and DAX are just a few of the tools and systems on the MS SQL Server BI Stack. 
  • Result-driven individual, be passionate and a self-starter, be proactive requiring minimal supervision, be highly organized, have an ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines, be a creative and strategic thinker, work comfortably work in a collaborative setting, work comfortably with senior departmental leadership, and demonstrate an ability to remain calm during times of uncertainty and stress, inspiring the same in his team

Responsibilities

Essential Functions 

  • Senior developer and lead consultant across data analytics team.  
  • Role as SME to Report Developers, Data Analysts, and Sr. Data Engineers responsible for report development, SQL SSMS, stored procedures, ETL, BI reporting, QA, data integration, data aggregations/analytics, developing/publishing Power Bi dashboards, SSRS dashboards, security, and training.  
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of database concepts such relational database architecture, multidimensional database design, and more 
  • Design data models that transform raw data into insightful knowledge by understanding business requirements in the context of BI. 
  • Develop technical specifications from business needs. 
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of data solutions in a production environment. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data quality and integrity. 
  • Provides analytical support where s/he develops and manages scalable data processing platforms that are used for exploratory data analysis and real-time analytics. 
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics team to devise innovative strategies and solutions, leveraging cutting-edge techniques and tools to meet and exceed business objectives. 
  • Engage in strategic collaborations with Data Analytics team to identify opportunities for process optimization and technological advancement.
